JUNIOR SEASON LAUNCH
Season Launch!!!!! – Sunday 14th September and Sunday 21st September
Firstly yes it is Fathers day but with footy season running so long into August this year we have no choice if we want to get some good preseason training underway. If you have commitments then no problem. Our first two Sundays will be an indoor training session to get the rust out of the system.
Time:
2.00pm until 3.00pm for U/12 and U/13
2.00pm until 3.30pm for the U/17
No start yet for the U/10 players as their season starts much later
Venue:
Saxon Sports – 14 Gatwick Rd Bayswater North
On each of these days the teams will do a training session
Attire:
Please wear normal cricket training attire and bring a water bottle and of course bring your cricket kit.
First Outdoor Session – Saturday 27th September
Yes it is Grand Final day so no doubt some of you will be heading to the MCG. Following training we will have a Sausage Sizzle for the kids and some soft drinks. After training everyone is invited to stay at the club as we host our Grand Final Day season opener with a couple of big screen TV’s, BBQ running and generally a really big crowd to watch the game. Plus heaps of competitions through the afternoon such as first goal, Norm Smith medallist etc.

Registration and Information Night - Thursday 9th October at the clubrooms
I really don’t want to be handling registrations during pre-season training so we are going to do it all on one night, that way we can get it out of the way and get ready for our first round of matches. Again I will do another update soon with the details about fees etc. We will also have plenty of playing shirts available on that night and other club merchandise. On this night we appoint our Captains, I give everyone an update about the year ahead and everyone is then welcome to stay back and listen to senior selections and mingle with the players.
